Me to the kids: did you guys know that after Adam and Eve send in the garden, then sin came into the world and no man could keep himself from sending. So God made a deal with the people and said that they could be made right with him and they could know him better if they followed a whole list of roles. There was a whole list of things they had to do and a whole list of things they couldn't do in order to stay clean and pure enough to be able to be in the presence of God. But no one could ever do it and so God had another plan… It wasn't like a Plan B because he already knewhe was going to do it but it was the second plan that he or the second deal that he had made with the people do you guys know with the second deal was? It was Jesus. So Jesus came and he lived such a perfect life and never send and then he died on the cross but before he died he said that if we believed in him then we wouldget to be saved and we would be able to be made clean and pure like him.
Henry to me: mom is the enemy defeated?
Me to Henry: yes he is. When Jesus died on the cross and then rose again he said it is finished that means that no other sacrifice and no other deal would have to be made because Jesus did everything that needed to be done so that we could be made right and pure and clean and be able to love God.
Henry to me: well if the enemy is defeated them why is there still sinning in the world?
Me to Henry: that is such a good question Henry. There is still sitting in the world because of what Adam and eve did. But this is not our home. Our home is in heaven and heaven is perfect. There is no sin there.
